Story

"A Haunted House 2" is the sequel to the hilarious box-office hit starring Marlon Wayans as Malcolm who, after exorcising the demons of his ex, is starting fresh with his new girlfriend and her two children. After moving into their dream home, Malcolm is once again plagued by bizarre paranormal events. With spine-tingling tension and hilarious punch-lines "A Haunted House 2" is inspired by the latest supernatural horror movie franchises and shows that this time... it's not just the house that's haunted!

On April 8, 2013, it was confirmed that Wayans, Open Road, and IM Global Octane will produce a sequel due to the financial success of the first film.[3] The film is titled A Haunted House 2, and it was reported the film would likely begin shooting in early July 2013.[4] On May 3, 2013, it was confirmed that a sequel titled A Haunted House 2 would be released on March 28, 2014.[5] On August 24, 2013, it was announced that Jaime Pressly, Ashley Rickards and Gabriel Iglesias had joined the cast of the film.[6] Principal photography began on August 26, 2013.

Marlon Wayans' "A Haunted House" sequel will be released in theaters March 28, 2014. The first film in the series has grossed over $40 million worldwide since its January release date, making $19 million its opening weekend.

The announcement of "A Haunted House 2" was made last month by Tom Ortenberg, CEO of Open Road Films. Open Road Films acquired all rights for distribution of the "A Haunted House 2". The movie will be financed and produced by IM Global’s label Octane.

"A Haunted House" is a parody of found footage paranormal films. Production of the film's sequel will begin this summer and is scheduled to be in the winter. Marlon Wayans will reprise his role in the film.

“Rick and I are excited about embarking on this journey again. IM Global has been a great, supportive partner and Open Road did a fantastic job marketing and releasing the movie. I’m looking forward to doing it again, mainly because of the fun we had the first time around. ‘Fun’ is the keyword when doing funny.” Wayans said in a press release about the new film.

Even though production hasn't started yet, the first poster has sprung up for A Haunted House 2, which was announced just last month. In conjunction with this one-sheet, Open Road Films has also set a March 28, 2014 release date for the spoof comedy sequel.

Marlon Wayans is starring in and co-writing the sequel, reprising his role as Malcolm from A Haunted House, which earned more than $40 million at the domestic box office.

Open Road Films is producing A Haunted House 2, alongside IM Global's genre division, Octane. Production is scheduled to begin sometime this summer. No director has been attached at this time.

Muppets Most Wanted[1] is an upcoming American musical comedy mystery film, directed by James Bobin, written by Bobin and Nicholas Stoller, and produced by Walt Disney Pictures and Mandeville Films.[2][3] The film is a semi-sequel to the 2011's The Muppets.[4][5][6] David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman, who produced the previous film, will return, as well as musician Bret McKenzie.[7][8]

Principal photography commenced in January 2013 at Pinewood Studios in London.[9] Walt Disney Pictures will release the film on March 21, 2014.[10][11] The film has a similar premise to 1981's The Great Muppet Caper.

Taking place after their successful comeback in The Muppets, the entire Muppets gang go on a global tour, selling out grand theaters in some of Europe's most exciting destinations, including Berlin, Madrid and London. However, mayhem follows the Muppets overseas as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine (the World's Number One Criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit) and his dastardly sidekick Dominic (Ricky Gervais).

Nicholas Stoller confirmed that the film would be a caper and that the film's setting would take place throughout Europe.

In March 2012, after the critical and commercial success of the The Muppets, Walt Disney Studios negotiated a deal with James Bobin and Nicholas Stoller to direct and write, respectively, an eighth installment.[4] Disney green-lit the film on April 24, 2012.[34] Originally commissioned under the title, The Muppets...Again!,[2] production on principal photography began in January 2013, at London's Pinewood Studios in Iver, Buckinghamshire.[9][35] Jason Segel, co-writer and star of the previous film, declined any involvement with the eighth entry, citing that he had accomplished his ambition of bringing the characters to the forefront with the 2011 film.

James Bobin said that the film was "a tip of the hat to the old-school crime capers of the ’60s, but featuring a frog, a pig, a bear and a dog—no panthers, even pink ones—along with the usual Muppet-y mix of mayhem, music and laughs".

Eve Stewart, the production designer on the film, let slip that she is working on a scene where Kermit and Miss Piggy get married again, at the Tower of London.[38] In addition to the United Kingdom, filming also took place on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles, to recreate the previous film's ending.[39] On June 13, 2013, the title of the film was changed to Muppets Most Wanted.

Divergent is an upcoming American science fiction adventure film directed by Neil Burger, based on the novel of the same name by Veronica Roth. The film is produced by Lucy Fisher, Pouya Shabazian and Douglas Wick, with a screenplay by Evan Daugherty and Vanessa Taylor.[2] It stars Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Zoë Kravitz, Ansel Elgort, Maggie Q, Jai Courtney and Kate Winslet.[3][4] The story takes place in a dystopian post-apocalyptic version of Chicago. In a futuristic Chicago where people are divided into five factions based on their personalities, teenager Tris learns that she is Divergent — a person who does not fit into any one faction -- and soon discovers a sinister plot brewing in her seemingly perfect society.

In March 2011, Summit Entertainment picked up the rights from for Divergent with Douglas Wick's production company Red Wagon Entertainment.[7] Neil Burger was announced as the director on August 23, 2012.[8] The screenplay is written by Evan Daugherty who said, "I get hung up on the toughness of the movie but of equal importance is the love story between Tris and Four. It's inherently and inextricably linked to Tris' character journey. There will be plenty of sexual tension and chemistry, but it's important that all of that stuff doesn't just feel like it's thrown in, but that it all helps Tris grow as a character."[9] Daugherty, who co-wrote the script with Vanessa Taylor, further added, "It's tricky because the book is a very packed read with a lot of big ideas. So, distilling that into a cool, faithful two-hour movie is challenging. Not only do you have to establish five factions, but you have to acknowledge that there's a sixth entity, which is the divergent, and you also have the factionless. So there's a world that really has to be built out for the big screen… the movie is going to do it a little more efficiently."[10] Author Veronica Roth said about the script of the film: "Reading a script is a really interesting experience. I'd never read a script before. I was really impressed by how closely it stuck to the general plot line of the book."[11]

Initially budget of the film was $40 million but later Lionsgate increased it to $80 million due to the success of The Hunger Games. Analyst Ben Mogil said, "Divergent is more similar to Hunger Games in that the company owns the underlying economics (i.e. production) and the budget (at $80mn) is more manageable.

On October 22, 2012 it was announced that Shailene Woodley had landed the lead role of Tris Prior.[12] Lucas Till, Jack Reynor, Jeremy Irvine, Alex Pettyfer, Brenton Thwaites, Alexander Ludwig and Luke Bracey were all considered for the role of Tobias "Four" Eaton.[13][14] On March 15, 2013, it was announced that Theo James had been cast as Four.

Though James was 10 years older than the character when cast, Roth praised his casting "I was sure within seconds: this was 'Four', no question. Theo is able to capture 'Four's' authority and strength, as well as his depth and sensitivity." She also mentions the chemistry between him and Shailene: "He is a perfect match for Shailene's incredibly strong presence as Tris. I'm thrilled!"[15] The producers said about his casting: "We took our time to find the right actor to fill the role of Four, and Theo is definitely the perfect fit. Veronica has crafted a truly iconic character in Four and we cannot wait to begin production and bring him and this story to life for millions of fans around the world.

Ray Stevenson, Jai Courtney and Aaron Eckhart were announced to be in talks to join the cast on March 15, 2013,[16] Stevenson and Courtney joined the cast as Marcus Eaton and Eric, respectively.[17] Kate Winslet was announced to be in talks on January 24, 2013.[18] Later it was confirmed that she would portray Jeanine Matthews.[19] Talking about playing the negative character first time, Winslet said, "I'm no idiot. The idea went through my head that I have never played a baddie before, I was almost kind of surprised." Since Winslet joined the filming late, she used that distance from her co-stars to appear aloof on the first day of her shoot. "I wanted to break it and say, 'It's OK, I'm really fun. I promise.' But I thought, just for today, I'd let them think that I am a complete bitch.

Filming began in Chicago in April 2013 and concluded on July 16, 2013.[21][22][23] Virtually all production photography took place in Chicago; many of the interior locations were filmed at Cinespace Chicago Film Studios.[24] Scenes for the "choosing ceremony" were shot at 17th Church of Christ, Scientist, Chicago on East Wacker in downtown Chicago.[25] Filming also took place at the Navy Pier Ferris Wheel; the entire area was treated with dirt and rust to appear more dystopian.[26] Additional scenes were shot at 57th Street and Ellis Avenue near University of Chicago,[27] at Federal Street where fake EL tracks were constructed[28] and at Michigan Avenue.[29]

For the Abnegation sector, the production team constructed the set on Wells Street in downtown Chicago.[30] In late June, filming took place at 1500 S Western Avenue and 600 S. Wells Street, Chicago.[31] In the last schedule, filming moved to the Chicago River and continued at Lake Street Bridge, Wacker Drive and LaSalle Street Bridge.

The whirlwind trailer takes viewers into the dystopian world -- in which society is separated into five factions -- created by bestselling YA author Veronica Roth. From the console to the big screen, Dreamworks has unveiled the first official behind-the-scenes video to the upcoming 2014 Need for Speed Hollywood debut. As anticipated, the footage brings what was previously only an animated world of super cars and state patrol into a real-life, fast-paced world of street racing and police dodging. The movie, which is originally inspired by the Electronic Arts hit video game of the same name, was initially unveiled at the recent E3 conference by Breaking Bad actor, Aaron Paul. In addition to starring Paul who plays a street racer who solidifies a racing deal with a car supplier (played by Dominic Cooper), the movie is also expected to see appearances from Kid Cudi, Michael Keaton, Ramon Rodriguez and actress Imogen Poots.

After being released from prison, a street racer signs up for a cross-country race in revenge against his ex-partner, who places a bounty on his head.

EA had decided to work with DreamWorks Studios to create a film version of Need for Speed with a release date originally set for February 7, 2014 but has been switched to March 14, 2014.[7] Brothers George (Real Steel) and John Gatins (Coach Carter) have written an original story for the film not based on any individual game. Scott Waugh (Act of Valor) is attached to direct the movie, with a target production start date of early 2013.[8][9] Several other independent film studios were also after the rights.[10] The movie is described as "a fast-paced, high-octane film rooted in the tradition of the awesome car culture films released in the 1970s while being extremely faithful to the spirit of the best selling video game franchise it's being based on".[11] DreamWorks will release the film via Disney's Touchstone Pictures brand in North America, Latin America, Russia, Australia and Asia, while Mister Smith Entertainment will handle sales in the remaining territories.

Originally, reports mentioned that actor Taylor Kitsch was in the running to be cast in the film.[12] The studio has declared that Aaron Paul is the chosen one to portray the main protagonist.[13] Imogen Poots is cast as a savvy exotic car dealer who connects the wealthy with high-end supercars.[14] Dominic Cooper is in talks to play Dino, an entrepreneur in the world of car upgrades. Kid Cudi, Ramón Rodríguez, Rami Malek and Harrison Gilbertson are cast in the film.[15] Michael Keaton is cast as the reclusive and eccentric host of an underground supercar race where he invites the best drivers from around the world.[16] Dakota Johnson has also joined the cast. Filming began in Macon, Georgia in mid-April.[17] Other filming locations include Road Atlanta in Braselton, Georgia on May 12, 2013,[18] the 13th Street Bridge in Columbus, Georgia and Campus Martius in Detroit, Michigan beginning on June 1, 2013.

Paul will portray Toby Marshall who is an extremely conceited, corrupt, arrogant, violent, anti-heroic driver who enjoys revenge fantasies. Marshall owns a garage which upgrades racecars. Framed for a federal crime he never committed, he escapes from prison exacting retaliation.

The film will feature Mr. Peabody, a talking dog who is the smartest being in the world, and his adopted boy Sherman. When Sherman's use of their time traveling WABAC machine results in disastrous and comical results, it is up to them to put things on track before the space-time continuum is irreparably destroyed

Plans for a film based on the characters of Mister Peabody and Sherman have existed for several years with director Rob Minkoff. His first attempt to make a feature film goes to 2003, when it was reported that Minkoff's Sony-based production company Sprocketdyne Entertainment and Bullwinkle Studios would produce a live-action/CG film, with a possibility of Minkoff to direct it.[11]

The live-action film was not realized, but in 2006, Minkoff joined DreamWorks Animation to direct a computer-animated film adaptation. Andrew Kurtzman was set to write the screenplay, based on the pitch, developed by Minkoff with his longtime producing partner Jason Clark.[12]

The film went through several release date changes. Originally scheduled for March 2014,[13][14] DreamWorks Animation's high expectations moved the film to November 2013, replacing another DreamWorks Animation film Me and My Shadow.[6][15] The last shift happened in February 2013, which pushed the film back to March 7, 2014, reportedly due to "more advantageous release window," again replacing Me and My Shadow.[2]

Originally, Robert Downey, Jr. was set to voice Mr. Peabody,[16] but in March 2012, he was replaced by Ty Burrell.[3] Max Charles, the actor who plays young Peter Parker in The Amazing Spider-Man, will voice Sherman.[3] Stephen Colbert will voice Paul Peterson, Mr. Peabody's nemesis, Ellie Kemper will voice Peterson's wife, Paula, and Ariel Winter their daughter Penny. Also joining the cast are Stephen Tobolowsky and Allison Janney as Mrs. Grunion.

300: Rise of an Empire is an upcoming 2014 American-Israeli action film directed by Noam Murro. It is a follow-up to the 2007 film 300, taking place before, during, and after the events of that film.[4] The cast includes Sullivan Stapleton, Eva Green, Callan Mulvey, Hans Matheson, and Jack O'Connell. The cast also includes Lena Headey, Rodrigo Santoro, and David Wenham, reprising their roles from the first film. It is scheduled to be released in 3D and IMAX 3D on March 7, 2014.[5][6] The composer for the film is Junkie XL.

The film centers on Themistocles and Artemisia I of Caria, as well as Xerxes I of Persia.[8] The Battle of Artemisium was a naval engagement, concurrent with the battle of Thermopylae, and was fought between an alliance of Greek city-states and the Persian Empire in September 480 BC, in the straits between the mainland and the northern tip of the island of Euboea (modern Evvia). The film will probably also focus, in part, on the Battle of Salamis, in which Artemisia played a major role, as well as possibly the Battle of Marathon.[8] The Battle of Salamis (home of the mythical hero Ajax) was fought after the Persian Empire had advanced into southern Greece and occupied Athens.
The film will also cover some of the backstory of Xerxes, and will explain how he became "the God King".

Production
In June 2008, producers Gianni Nunnari, Mark Canton and Bernie Goldmann revealed that work had begun on a sequel to 300.[13] Legendary Pictures announced that Frank Miller, who wrote the 1998 comic book limited series on which the film 300 was based, was writing a follow-up graphic novel, and Zack Snyder, co-screenwriter and director of 300, was interested in directing the adaptation, but instead chose to develop and direct the Superman reboot Man of Steel.[14][15] Noam Murro has signed as the director, while Snyder is set to produce. The film will be centered on the Greek leader Themistokles, portrayed by Australian actor Sullivan Stapleton.[16]
During pre-production, the film was titled 300: Battle of Artemisium (although this was widely misreported as "Battle of Artemisia");[8] the film was retitled 300: Rise of an Empire in September 2012.[17] Filming commenced early July 2012 at the Nu Boyana Film Studios in Sofia, Bulgaria.[18] On May 10, 2013, it was announced the film's release date would be pushed back from August 2, 2013, until March 7, 2014.

Man of Steel has yet to hit theaters, but the first look at the Zack Snyder-produced follow-up to 300 has arrived.

And 300: Rise of an Empire returns viewers to the world where the sepia-toned, blood-drenched 2007 blockbuster takes place. But this time, the big battles and slow-motion sword fighting are set on warships.

STORY: Warner Bros. Gives '300' Sequel a New Title

"The idea of this movie was always that it takes place at about the same time of the first one," the sequel's director Noam Murro described to MTV News. "It's as if you zoomed out and saw a bigger time frame and told a bigger story of what happened in 300."

The plot, according to the synopsis, pits Greek general "Themistokles (Sullivan Stapleton) against the massive invading Persian forces led by mortal-turned-god Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro), and Artemisia (Eva Green), vengeful commander of the Persian navy."

The first film debuted in March 2007, grossing more than $200 million domestically, and went on to propel the career of director Zach Snyder to tackle other comic book adaptations, including Watchmen and Man of Steel.

The 3D film hits theaters March 7.

Synopsis

The action of the film takes place on an international flight from New York to London. During the flight, the US federal air marshal on-board (Neeson) receives a series of threatening text messages, stating unambiguously, that a passenger will be killed every 20 minutes unless, and until, $150 million are transferred into a secret bank account.[1]

Filming

Filming for Non-Stop began on November 1, 2012 at York Studios in Maspeth, Queens New York City, and at JFK Airport December 7, 2012 and at Long Island MacArthur Airport. [2][3] Filming wrapped on January 29, 2013.

just announced it is moving Non-Stop‘s release to February 28, 2014, a week later than its initial February 21 date. The new date pits Non-Stop against Paramount’s sci-fi pic Almanac. It would have gone up against Tri-Star’s action drama Pompeii on the 21st.

Neeson plays U.S. Air Marshal Bill Marks who receives a series of cryptic text messages during a transatlantic flight from New York City to London. The messages demand that he instruct the government to transfer $150 million into an off-shore account and, until he secures the money, a passenger on his flight will be killed every 20 minutes. The February 21st date pits Non-Stop against Paramount’s sci-fi pic Almanac. Julianne Moore co-stars in Non-Stop which reunites Neeson with Unknown director Jaume Collet-Serra and producer Joel Silver. Three Days to Kill is an upcoming French action thriller film directed by McG and written by Luc Besson and Adi Hasak. The film stars Kevin Costner, Amber Heard, Hailee Steinfeld, Connie Nielsen, Richard Sammel and Eriq Ebouaney.[1] The film is scheduled to be released on February 14, 2014.

The thriller explores a story about Secret Service Agent Ethan Runner who discovers he’s dying and decides to retire in order to reconnect with his estranged family. But when the Secret Service offers him access to an experimental drug that could save his life in exchange for one last assignment, he soon finds himself trying to juggle his family, his mission, and the drug’s hallucinatory side-effects.

You might be under the impression that Hollywood only releases romances and dramas on Valentine's Day, hoping to lure in couples celebrating their annual moment of gross PDA. You would be wrong. In recent years, movies like "The Wolfman," "Safe House" and "Live Free Or Die Hard" hit theaters on or around V-Day, and 2014 will be no different. Granted, remakes "Endless Love" and "About Last Night" will be aiming for the heartsick, but YA adaptations "The Maze Runner" and "Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters" will also be in the mix and joining them is a movie co-written and produced by none other than Luc Besson.

The McG directed, Kevin Costner starring "Three Days To Kill" has put a bullet on February 14, 2014 and we have a first look at the movie, thanks to a Cannes EuropaCorp catalog they brought to the market. Co-starring Hailee Steinfeld, Amber Heard and Connie Nielsen, it's another riff on the "Taken" formula with the aging action hero, juggling family and bad guys, though this time it has a bit of a "Crank" flavor to it as well. In this distinctive action-thriller, Kevin Costner plays an elite government hit man who after receiving news that he has a terminal disease, decides to give up his high stakes life to finally build a relationship with his estranged wife and daughter, whom he's previously kept at arm's length to keep out of danger. But when his agency offers him an experimental, potentially life-saving drug in exchange for one last mission, it's an offer he can't refuse - even if it means juggling his two toughest assignments yet: going after the world's most ruthless terrorist and caring for his daughter for the first time in ten years while his wife is out of town.

McG’s upcoming thriller Three Days to Kill went into post-production mode earlier this month, and the only news that’s surfaced about the film recently has involved its frequently changing name, which has been floating between Three Days to Kill and Untitled McG Project, so let’s hope that the film actually landing its release date sets the title in stone. And if not in stone, at least a quick-drying cement.

A Relativity Media press release and Box Office Mojo report love, drugs and guns will bloom on Valentine’s Day 2014, as Three Days to Kill is tentatively set for a February 14 premiere. The word tentative is used there because this is already an extremely competitive Friday, which it would share with the young adult sci-fi drama The Maze Runner, the equally young adult romantic drama Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters, the romance remake Endeless Love, and the modern rom-com remake About Last Night. Call me crazy, but I’m thinking response to the first trailer will either provide the confidence or fear that could affect the release date further.

Written by Luc Besson (The Fifth Element) and Adi Hasak (From Paris With Love), Three Days to Kill will star Kevin Costner as an elite government hit man who decides to leave that life behind and reconnect with his estranged family after he gets news he has a terminal illness. It’s like the natural evolution of Adventures in Babysitting. The film also stars Hailee Steinfeld, Amber Heard and Connie Nielsen.

Plot

Set in the days leading up to the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in Pompeii, a slave on a ship heading for Naples works to get home to save the woman he loves and his best friend, a gladiator trapped inside the city's colosseum.

The big-budget action epic stars Kit Harington, Emily Browning, Kiefer Sutherland, Jared Harris and Carrie-Anne Moss.

Germany's Constantin Film and Impact produced and financed the big-budget action pic, which stars Kit Harington,Emily Browning, Kiefer Sutherland,Jared Harris and Carrie-Anne Moss. Production is currently under way.

The film follows an enslaved Celtic gladiator who falls in love with a noblewoman on the eve of a massive volcanic eruption that destroys Pompeii, an event that also brings him face-to-face with the man who slaughtered his family years earlier.

Jeremy Bolt, Anderson, Robert Kulzer and Don Carmodyare producing the film; executive producers are Martin Moszkowicz, Jon Brown and Schlessel. Lee Batchler,Janet Scott Batchler, Michael Robert Johnson andJulian Fellowes wrote the screenplay.

Lionsgate International is representing foreign rights.

"Pompeii is the kind of big and bold film we all love to go to the movies to experience. We believe the film’s scope and storyline will resonate well with U.S. moviegoers and we are pleased to once again team with Sony on bringing a film to theaters and beyond," Schlessel said.

FilmDistrict and Sony/TriStar have an ongoing partnership, and are currently in theaters with the remake of Sam Raimi's cult horror pic Evil Dead, which opened to a better-than-expected $25.8 million over the weekend.
